When a laboratory test is worth it — and when it is not
Laboratory team6 May 20263 min read

We only order a test when the result will change your treatment. Here is how we decide, so you know what you are paying for.
Patients sometimes arrive asking for a long list of tests, and sometimes refuse the one test that matters. Both cost money in the end.
A useful test answers a question
Before we order anything, we ask what we would do differently depending on the result. If the answer is nothing, the test can wait.
Malaria and typhoid testing, blood counts, blood sugar, kidney and liver panels, urine and stool analysis are all done on site, usually the same day.
Ask for the price first
You are entitled to know the cost before a sample is taken, and to ask what the result means afterwards. Our team will always explain both.
